In 1992, I was 5 years old and my mother died from a cancer.
I was alone with my dad, and to make me happy he bought me a super nintendo.
One of my first games was Zelda: A link to the past. I probably have my best memory playing this game, it has a special meaning for me, probably due to the context.
It's still my favorite serie/universe.
I remember I was so scared entering the lost woods where you had to pick excalibur up.
Feels like yesterday!

The shield is the one from Ocarina of time, but I liked its simple/natural design better.

well, this is like a cross between several Links. He has the Kokiri shield of OoT, and also wearing the white tights started by the adult form in that game (later appropriated by "Toon Link" of Wind Waker) But the forest...yup, definite Link to the Past! And I love the shade and lighting.....and I remember that game was the first to make extensive use of it!

mmmhh interesting. Well that's possible. A Link to the past is a 1st generation SNES game, they probably tested many stuff on that one.

Your story is so sad, but your mum must be happy, because her son is an artist =)
